Hi, I'm Matthew and I am an Individual, Family & Couples Psychotherapist, specialising in anxiety management, low mood and neurodiversity. I have worked with individuals, couples and families for over 25 years, helping them manage their emotional health and wellbeing. I have helped children, young people and their parents and couples work through a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood/depression, managing challenging behaviour, Autism, anger management, frequent family clashes, the effects of couple tension, bereavement, and conflict in relationships.

I work with people helping them to think about how they communicate with others and how certain behaviours can be problematic in relationships. My main aim is to help people find new ways of communicating their thoughts and feelings so that loved ones can help them get through their difficulties, because communication is not always a simple process.
Counselling does not have to be a long process and I usually meet with clients for as long is required. I offer free telephone and email consultation and am happy to think with you about your concerns before you commit to seeing someone. Sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference!
