I am a fully accredited psychotherapist with over 20 years experience in both the public sector and private practice. I have trained in the use of EMDR which is especially helpful for people who have been traumatised and find it difficult to talk about their experiences but EMDR can also be used for a wide range of issues. My core training in psychotherapy can help people to understand themselves on a deeper level, help them to understand their reactions to people and life. I also trained in CBT which can give you new strategies to deal with life. My philosophy is always to work with your needs and goals
I help people with a wide variety of difficulties including PTSD and trauma, addictions, depression and stress, low self esteem, panic, social anxiety and health anxiety. You may have feelings and are unsure where they came from such as shame and guilt, I can help you to understand those feelings and together we can develop techniques to manage them
Some people come into therapy wanting to understand themselves and how they relate to others and the world around them, others know what their goals for therapy are. My aim is to be alongside you, to give you a safe space to understand what is troubling you, space to work towards your goals and space to help you make lasting changes.
