I am a HCPC registered dramatherapist working in York and Leeds. I practice a person-centred approach, adjusting to the client’s particular needs and allowing them to take the lead within sessions, providing them with a safe space to explore whatever they feel they need to. I have access to a wide range of dramatherapy approaches and techniques and have experience working with both children and adults. I work following a trauma informed approach within the framework of the empowerment model and have extensive experience working with trauma survivors.
Dramatherapy is a form of Psychotherapy. Dramatherapists are both clinicians and artists that draw on their knowledge of theatre and therapy to use as a medium for psychological therapy that may include drama, story-making, music, movement, and art; to work with any issue that has presented itself.
