My name is Martin. I have worked in the field of mental health for several years, and I want to use my knowledge, skills and experience to help you take this step to improve your mental well-being. I have worked in a range of settings, including NHS, EAP and emergency services, where I have worked with a wide range of problems. These have included depression, OCD, worry, PTSD and trauma, difficulties in managing emotions and phobias. Through using CBT, we'll work together to understand the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that you feel may holding you back, and explore ways of reaching where you want to be.
I hold a BA in Counselling and Psychology, a MSc in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology and and a qualified CBT therapist (PGDip, Cardiff), and am accredited with the BABCP. My qualifications, and experience of working in mental health is what allows me to use this is a highly effective, active and collaborative therapy.
