I only work online - and work worldwide except USA and Canada. I just I love working as an online therapist and I invite you to work with me online, whatever your issues, needs or goals might be. You may live abroad or have difficulty accessing help or just prefer seeing someone online, or you may be struggling with shame and want to work with the video turned off or by live chat - text based. I am happy to work with you using the format you prefer - I am even qualified as an avatar therapist if you'd like to try this. Online work can be very rewarding and creative.

Clients come to me for help with a range of issues including improving their relationships, navigating or creating change and gaining confidence in themselves. Maybe difficult experiences from your past have become obstacles to you being who you want to be now. Perhaps you're feeling stuck and want help getting unstuck. I can offer you a safe, accepting space in which to explore and grow. I have particular experience with ADHD, gender diversity and consensual nonmonogamy (e.g. polyamory, swingers, ENM) and I am sex and kink-positive. My approach is affirming whether or not these factors relate directly to our work together.

I offer a welcoming space for you to explore whatever is happening in your life and support you to face difficult circumstances, feelings and relationships, finding new perspectives and resources. I use Processwork, a creative approach to therapy and facilitation, to help clients work things through in a professional and confidential space. During sessions we bring awareness to what's happening, leading to learning and change. In particular, paying attention to disturbances can hold the key to discovering new ways of being in the world.

I'm a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a LGBTQIA+ practice working with individuals, relationships and groups in Central London and Online. People seek counselling for many reasons - You might be struggling with anxiety and depression or challenging life events that left you feeling disconnected from yourself, your partner(s), or the world. Or you might be wanting to explore your gender/sexual identities experiences in a non-judgemental, safe space. Whilst all emotions are natural expressions of our human nature, traumatic events and systemic issues can be destabilising, leaving us feeling hopeless and stuck in a place of hurting.

Marriage Counselling

How does marriage counseling work?

Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?

Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?

Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?

Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
