About
Mark is enthusiastic in working with the wide range of issues with CBT such as Anxiety – generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, death anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, hoarding, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, body dysmorphic disorder and phobias. Mark worked in the NHS for 15 years, working in a range of settings including mental health secure units, prisons, and various community mental health teams including early intervention and specialist work and later in management. Mark has also worked in an IAPT service, social care and the corporate sector.
Sometimes, we need a little help along the way - a caring, attentive ear with a safe pair of hands often can help with an empathetic, considerate, respectful and confidential space to help enable you to manage better with the challenges being faced. Mark is a firm believer in the importance and the power of the therapeutic relationship.
Mark focusses on the here and now to facilitate change by giving you an enhanced understanding of the important relationship that occurs between our thoughts, our emotions and behaviours. By understanding this better we can learn to adjust our thoughts and behaviours to become healthier, less unhelpful and less overwhelming. DBS-Enhanced checked.
