I have worked for over 15 years within adult acute, secondary and primary care NHS mental health services in various specialist mental health roles including, occupational therapy (OT), mental health pracitioner and psychological therapist roles. I now work part time in the NHS as a BABCP accredited Cognitive and Behavioural psychotherapist and EMDR therapist and carry a small private therapy caseload too. I also worked as a yoga teacher on an outreach programme and will often integrate somatic techniques within therapy sessions as well as including OT based sensory strategies when building resources.
Due to me having worked within varied fields, I tend to use an integrative approach to therapy, depending on what might best support you. We will spend time understanding what you're currently experiencing, what may be maintaining these difficulties and where you want to get to in therapy. I offer an inclusive space and a neuro-affirmative approach.
I am a warm and compassionate therapist with an openess to understanding from your perspective what you are struggling with as well as tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs.
