Hi, I am Mariam, a senior psychotherapist, supervisor and clinical Hypnotherapist, in my experience clients come to therapy because they are either overwhelmed due to recent events in their lives or have been carrying unresolved conscious or unconscious ordeals or traumas. The goal of therapy should always include self-knowledge and self-healing. coming closer to self will help us to come closer to others. As part of this, it is important for all of us to have empathy towards ourselves. So the ultimate goal of therapy should be to gain self-love.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and BSCH Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist, qualified supervisor. I work with individuals and groups and families. 23 years experience as a counsellor, 13 years as Clinical Hypnotherapist. I am integrative so I use different modalities. I also have CBT, EFT, Eating disorder and Mindfulness, training.
Because of the fact that I have been through many life events and many difficulties, I do appreciate how complicated living can be. I am a mother a wife, a daughter, and a friend, so I know that all these roles need a lot of work and energy. It is important to be aware of how we are functioning in all these roles and to learn how to make some adjustments
