Using mark making, art making or creation when needed can help you feel more grounded and emotionally regulated, while also offering ways to express experiences that may be difficult to put into words. These approaches allow emotions and needs to emerge gently, in a way that feels manageable and contained.
My approach to Art psychotherapy is rooted in person-centred and psychodynamic principles, which looks at your present and past, to gently uncover the patterns and feelings that might not be in your awareness, for a greater understanding.
I work with each person’s individual pace and readiness, supporting you to build trust, and develop confidence in expressing and understanding your emotions. A key part of my work is recognising and validating your unique experiences, helping you to strengthen your sense of identity.
