I am a very experienced therapist mainly working with adults with anxiety and depression. I particularly have a special interest in Depression, OCD, and Social anxiety. I have experience of working with chronic pain and staff support. I work with depression using Behavioural Activation and CBT for depression, I am trained in mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) which is particularly helpful for people with high levels of shame and self- criticism. I am able to weave third wave approaches in CBT such as ACT and Mindfulness if clients would find this helpful. I am a qualified EMDR Therapist.
I am able to work in a collaborative way using CBT and CFT to help clients become their own therapists and overcome problems with anxiety and depression. I am trained to work with clients using EMDR. I work with clients who experience pain and physical health problems. I work in a time limited way and I am able to help clients to reach their goals.
I am a warm and empathic therapist who has been working as a CBT therapist for over 20 years both in primary and secondary care for the NHS and Charities. I trained as a mental health nurse qualifying in 1996 and have been registered with the NMC since then. I am able to work together with you online or face to face to help overcome your difficulties.
