Hello, I'm Maria, a psychotherapist and art therapist based in London. I offer 1:1 psychotherapy or art therapy sessions, both online and in person. Additionally, I conduct creative and reflective art workshops and group (art) therapy. Drawing from years of experience as a psychotherapist in Brazil, where I worked with diverse client groups, my focus currently is on mental health, especially supporting women and girls on their personal journeys.
Art psychotherapy, to me, is a transformative medium that transcends traditional therapy. Through the expressive use of art materials and dialogue, it unlocks profound insights and
facilitates personal development on multiple levels. It's about tapping into the innate creativity within us to navigate through life's challenges. In my practice, I cultivate a non-judgmental, confidential environment where individuals feel safe to explore and express their deepest emotions and thoughts. I work alongside my clients, encouraging
resilience and empowerment, and centering my practice on inclusion values so that everyone feels welcome. No previous experience in art is necessary. I specialise in assisting individuals through life changes, such as relocating to another country, offering emotional support during challenging moments, and personal growth. Feel free to contact me.
