Hi I am a BACP and IACP accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I have 20 years experience and work integratively with a leaning towards Somatic work. I believe that the body and mind can not be separated and the impact of our experiences can manifest in many ways physically and psychologically. I have worked with adults privately and in a healthcare setting. Therapy is a very individual process and we will collaboratively explore the way of working that suits you best using my extensive training and experience.
My special interest is working with the impact of trauma experienced as a child or as an adult. I have worked for 12 years with the Belfast Trust Trauma Team. I have also worked with Towards Healing (victims of clerical abuse) and Cancer Focus NI. I have trained with Babette Rothschild and with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy institute.
I provide a safe confidential space to explore issues that present in your life. In a non-judgemental way we can be curious about your beliefs and understanding about yourself. We can explore how to make positive changes to your life and reduce the impact of painful memories on your mind and body.
