Together we will work with whatever you bring to therapy. This may be an issue that is clear and well defined. You might want change in your relationship or in your work, or you may want support dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or shame, for example. But it might also be something much vaguer, it may be a general interest in exploring aspects of your life or way of relating to the world, or it might be a sense of confusion, stuckness, dissatisfaction or unfinished business.
I work with you to increase awareness of your processes. I work relationally and creatively, bringing our relationship into the process and helping you explore the range of ways of being that you have available to you. We work in the here and now, to help you understand your current situation, although that might include exploring how you got here.
I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and have experience of working with clients who have experiences associated with living ‘against the grain'. My professional and academic experience also provide a strong foundation for working with lawyers or those whose motivation for seeking therapy might relate to their membership of another profession.
