For me the therapeutic value of therapy is about creating a safe space for the client in which they can start their process of healing. I will enable you tell your story in a way that is not about giving advice but more about empowering you to make the changes that you are looking to make. This might be about yourself or in your relationships with others. The focus of my Therapy is to enable you to explore the parts of you that you wish to look at and to make sense of the world around you. Together we can explore the challenges you might be facing and from those challenges discover solutions which will enable personal growth.
My 25 years experience is with teenagers & adults. Anxiety, Depression, Low Mood, Gender Identity, Bereavement, Suicide, Teenage/Adult abusive relationships, Coercive Control, Teenage Pregnancy, Trauma, Disabilities, Eating Disorders, Low self Esteem, Neglect, Abortion, Self Harm, Substance Misuse, Physical/Sexual Abuse & Emotional Harm.
I use a person centred approach mainly when working with clients. I believe strongly that the clients voice is always heard and respected. I will always remain non judgemental and never try and rush you into telling your story. I will sit with you as your painful story is told and I will hopefully help you free yourself of whatever it is that causes you pain
