Welcome to my practice. You may have arrived here through a stressful and painful journey. Maybe your life feels constricted, confined to the 'outside' looking into 'normality'. Maybe spaces around you - physical, social and cultural surroundings, family, work, education - seem unwelcoming or hostile. Maybe you feel exhausted by trying to protect your right to a space in life. Clients contact me for many reasons: anxiety/stress with physical symptoms, past adverse experiences, rape, abuse, anger, loneliness, disturbing dreams or intruding images, life threatening or chronic health conditions, life-long disabilities, life crisis.
If you are a survivor of trauma, life-long adversity, or discrimination you may feel there is nowhere to go for support. I offer a therapeutic space of positive regard based on safety, trust and heart to explore experiences and feelings that are difficult to express - at times these are painful and upsetting but we may also find joy and hope.
It is challenging to move from surviving to recovery: scary, daunting, yet called for by something inside us. Clients experience our work together cooperative, genuine, trusted and hopeful. I work at clients' own pace to come to an understanding of their experiences. This may improve their experience of life and relationships and nurture helpful change.
