Empathy, warmth, and curiosity are human qualities I very much value. They are central to the way I work as a therapist, enabling me to foster strong therapeutic relationships in a safe, confidential space where clients can feel understood and supported.
I work collaboratively with my clients to help them gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their experiences and difficulties, and to facilitate an authentic engagement with the process of growth and meaningful change. In recognising that each person and their lived experience is unique, I strive to maintain an open and curious attitude rather than being guided by assumptions
Guided by existential principals, I aim to increase clients’ understanding of their current difficulties through descriptively identifying their experiences and challenging both explicit and implicit assumptions within their narratives. I help clients explore change, alternative perspectives and ways of relating to themselves & their circumstances.
Whilst my approach is broadly existential, I apply my psychological knowledge and training to draw on and integrate a range of therapeutic frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-based Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and solution-focused therapies - to meet the individual needs of my clients.
