Hi, I'm Mairi - a 49 year old, dog-loving, coffee-drinking counsellor who comes from a wee island in the Hebrides. From my own life experience, I know how daunting and overwhelming it can feel to think about starting counselling, and to try and find the right therapist, and I hope that my down-to-earth and friendly manner will help you feel at ease.
I believe that trust and connection are at the heart of successful therapy, and no matter what it is that you are struggling with, I will help you work out what you need from your counselling sessions with me, so that you can work towards living a more fulfilled and contented life.
My warm and sensitive manner makes me very easy to talk to, and together, we will gently explore whatever difficulties you are facing, so that you can begin to make sense of how you are feeling. I can help you work through and let go of the emotional burdens you have been carrying, so that you can finally move past whatever is holding you back in your life.
I know how important it is to have a trusting connection with your therapist, so you can talk openly and honestly about how you are feeling. That's why I offer a free 15-min introductory call followed by a reduced fee of £35 for our 1st session together. This will help you to get a sense of who I am as a therapist, and what it might be like to work with me.
