I am a fully qualified and very experienced counsellor. I have gained my experience in a number of settings, including as a staff counsellor within the NHS, as a counsellor within a hospice and as a psychological therapist within an NHS mental health service. In addition to my private practice as a counsellor, I am also a counselling supervisor.
I work from a person-centred integrative perspective and, as well as person-centred counselling, I am able to offer CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy). I have experience of working with clients on a very broad range of issues, but specialise in working with bereavement and loss; abuse, including in childhood; anxiety, and issues related to trauma/PTSD.
I hope to be able to offer you a professional and confidential relationship in which to work, with you, on whatever issues have led you to seek counselling. I know, from personal experience, the value of being able to talk, without fear of judgement, to someone who is outside of the situation and who is interested in how I see and experience things.
