Art therapy isn't just about making art. It is a non-judgmental, confidential space to discuss and express whatever it is on your mind.
Art Therapy works well to help children express their difficulties through play and creativity. Children and adolescent brains are still developing, so talking about their thoughts and emotions can be hard. As an adult, you've tried talking therapies; been referred to IAPT and CBT just isn't for you. Art Therapy can help explore emotions in a different way.
Whatever the difficulty that you want to explore with me, whether that is processing past traumas, coping with anxiety, low mood, understanding Autism or ADHD, or areas such as sexuality, culture or identity, I ensure we discuss what is important to you or your child, considering your family and your own unique experiences and background.
