I am a person centred, systemic, psychodynamic counsellor and Relate trained in relationship counselling. I help people with anxiety, depression, low mood and loneliness, self harm, eating issues, retirement, parenting, separation and the way they relate to others. Couples come to me to work through their underlying issues, patterns of conflict, communication challenges, parental differences, feelings about roles and responsibilities, beliefs from childhood or difficult life obstacles. Individuals face these issues too and also seek support on how to stay or if it is time to leave.
I listen to your story. I reflect what I have heard and help you to look at the developed behaviours. Together we can identify helpful and unhelpful parts. We can then move our emphasis to resolution. I use person centred, psychodynamic and systemic practices to inform the support and interventions chosen.
It is my task to work with you to help you identify the situations that cause issues to surface and to listen to where you think things come from, so that, together, we can better see how you want to go forward.
