You as a person are at the centre of my approach to therapy. When life is a struggle, it can be surprisingly helpful to speak to someone who really listens, carefully, warmly, and without judgement. It can be a starting point to finding a way forward, especially if it is currently difficult to speak to those around you or you’re going around in circles with a challenging issue. My approach is to work with you to help you achieve your goals and to develop a more understanding and accepting relationship to yourself. I believe that everyone is their own life expert. By working together, we can help fine tune your expertise.
I am experienced with issues related to anxiety, depression, shame, homophobia, complex family dynamics, loss, addiction, relationship diversity, work/life balance issues, self-loathing and feeling marginalised due to race, gender, sexuality. I also work with clients struggling to cope with the expectations around their different cultural identities.
My focus is to help you reengage with yourself with a view to addressing whatever you want to work on. During our first sessions I'll try to understand what you're facing, address any concerns and questions with a view to agreeing goals for our work together.
