I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor and an accredited member of the BACP. I ran my own business for over twenty years and so I can fully appreciate how work related stresses can make it seem impossible to achieve a healthy, balanced life. I was an IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) for some years and I also have experience working in a residential setting with young people experiencing complex mental health issues. Following on from this I trained to work with children aged 11 years and over as I feel very strongly that there is a real lack of mental health support especially for children and young people.
As each of my clients is unique, I like to spend time creating an individual therapy plan that will address their concerns and in doing so increase their self awareness. I include several different models in my therapy plans and often use creative methods to enable my clients to access their subconscious while feeling fully supported and in a safe space.
Asking for help is often the biggest challenge.
