Hello, I'm Luisa. I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist for children and young people. Being an Integrative therapist means I am trained to use various therapeutic modalities and skills to support each young person, including using Play-Based techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Person-Centred approach and using Systemic thinking. I work with warmth, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude, holding space for any young person to explore their feelings and experiences in a safe, ethical environment. I offer a modern and fresh perspective, bringing a warm, ‘human’, welcoming vibe to sessions.
As well as seeing clients myself, I also manage a therapy service 'LH Therapeutic Services for Children and Families'. Sessions with myself and Associate Therapists are based in St Albans, Watford and surrounding areas. We see children and young people aged 4-25 years old, as well as offering counselling for parents and coaching focused on their child.
Having a team of Therapists means that when you contact me, I can consider who might be the best fit to see you/your child. Groups
SPACE Parenting Group for Anxious Children
SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is an evidence-based, parent-focused intervention developed at the Yale Child Study Center by Dr. Eli Lebowitz and colleagues. Unlike traditional child therapy, SPACE works directly with parents and caregivers — not with the child — to address anxiety, OCD, and related difficulties in children and adolescents (ages 5–18).
