I have over 30 years of experience working with people who wish to explore their mental health and wellbeing. I work with people who are 18+ experiencing challenges including anxiety, phobias, PTSD, depression and low self-esteem. I am also more than happy to work with people who wouldn’t define themselves using these categories who wish to get to know and understand their internal landscape better.
I am trained to work using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also hold significant experience in nicotine dependence, smoking cessation, alcohol dependence and 12 step recovery programs.
My first qualification is as a Nurse and then as a Psychological Therapist. Through my initial and ongoing training I have the skills and experience to provide a calm, consistent, compassionate and containing environment where individuals can explore themselves as fully as they choose and I can offer both short and longer term work.
