I was trained in a person-centred, integrative approach. This means that I value the relationship between therapist and client so I don't have an ideal client in mind and I won’t stick to only one approach. I integrate different approaches from many psychotherapeutic methods according to the needs and the preferences of my clients.
I work with adults, adolescents and children. I am also happy to work online with adults and older adolescents. I prefer to work face-to face with children and younger adolescents. I try, whenever possible, to use the arts in my therapeutic approach but only if it feels right for my clients.
I have specialist training in working with children and adolescents and I use the arts wherever possible. I have Theraplay level 1 training and am an approved therapist for the Adoption Support Agency. I have also worked with DBT in time limited therapy to help with anxiety and managing overwhelming feelings.
I am a welcoming and empathetic therapist and I always strive to put clients at their ease. Working together in partnership to understand their emotional difficulties in a way that feels comfortable. In all of this, the client’s needs are uppermost and I strive to create a warm, and judgement-free environment in which we can explore issues together.
