About
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families. I work with families of young children as well as individual therapy for older children and adolescents. I offer assessment and interventions for many emotional and behavioural difficulties such as anxiety and mood disorders, eating difficulties, sleeping difficulties, social/ relationship issues, self esteem and resilience, coping with physical health problems, trauma, and attachment. My interventions aim to support the family and child or young person in making positive changes in their emotional well being.
I am trained in a range of therapy models in order to offer interventions that fit each individual child and family, and can involve schools and other professionals within the families support network. My assessment process will help in collaboratively identifying to right approach for each family and child.
Part of my service is to offer an initial telephone consultation free of charge. It can be anxiety provoking to reach out for support and at this first stage I will happily offer an informal and supportive space to discuss any concerns and to work out how we can best meet the needs of you and your child.
