Hello and thankyou for looking into my profile. I qualified as a Dramatherapist in 2001 and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have over 25 years experience of working alongside children and their families in a wide variety of settings. For the past 10 years I have managed a counselling and therapy service based in primary schools for a national charity as well as working in private practice. I offer children and young people a safe, accepting and non-judgemental space in which they can choose to communicate verbally or non-verbally.
I can offer therapy to children who present with difficulties which impact upon their mental wellbeing, their ability to emotionally regulate, their self-esteem, their peer relationships and their confidence; children who have experienced developmental trauma, loss and grief, parental separation, attachment difficulties and a range of other issues.
Within a safe space and relationship, children can use drama, play and creative materials to express their feelings, tell their stories and process difficult experiences. I accompany children on their therapeutic journey at their own pace, giving them the tools to make sense of their experiences and to unlock their potential for self-healing
