About
I am an Adult, Child and Adolescent Therapeutic Counsellor with over a decade of training in mental health, working with an integrative approach. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a MSc in Applied Cognitive Neuroscience (Psychology). I have trained integratively in the Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Level 4 Certificate in Counselling Children. I also hold relevant training in CBT. I am currently completing the UKCP approved MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia Insitute and Middlesex University. I am a member of the BPS, a Registered Member of the BACP and hold a DBS check certificate on the Update Service.
My work with adults spans across the NHS, agency settings and private practice. Together we might look at early interactions and explore unconscious feelings, also focussing on the present moment. I have experience working children and young people as a Therapeutic Counsellor and as a Clinical Supervisor. I may draw from attachment theory and play therapy.
I believe that each individual is unique and benefits from a tailored approach. Taking the first step and making contact with a therapist can be quite challenging.
