I am a Counselling Psychologist, Supervisor and Relate trained couples counsellor. I have worked in the NHS for 15 years and the private sector for 7, across Drug & Alcohol Services, Eating Disorder Service, Primary Care counselling and Young People's counselling services. I principally work from an integrative position and offer a range of psychological interventions including brief intervention and longer term therapy. I offer an initial assessment appointment to gain a good overview of the concerns you are experiencing and the type of help you are seeking. We will decide on the type of approach which may be most helpful.
I work with a wide range of familiar life challenges but relationships are often at the heart of our struggles. Relationships can often be overlooked in our busy lives. Sometimes we need a safe space to talk and a neutral person to help you back into more positive connections. I work individually and with couples.
In my therapy sessions, we’ll work together to understand your difficulties and the challenges you face. We will work towards reducing your psychological distress and promoting your well-being. From the initial assessment we will decide together on the best intervention for you and review this as we progress.
