Anxiety, depression, loss and isolation are horrible feelings; is this how you feel? It may be other overwhelming feelings that have led you to look for help and support. Anxiety can feel very big, with thoughts running down rabbit holes. Loss and bereavement can be overwhelming, physically painful and you can feel depressed and stuck, these feelings can impact on our relationships with those close to us compounding our feelings of loneliness and isolation.
My hope for you is to feel better; I have a deep belief that sharing difficulties in a counselling relationship helps and does offer relief. There is no judgement from me, just compassion, empathy and wondering what is happening for you. There is not any magic and neither are there any tricks; laughter is allowed and it does happen in my therapy room.
I bring to my practice my personal and professional experience, this includes the world of hospitality, education and voluntary work, moving into social work with families for 20 years including with adoptive families for 10 years.
It is important to find a counsellor who feels a good fit who can offer you support whilst exploring change.
