I have been a Counsellor / Psychotherapist / Hypnotherapist for over 25years I specialised in the field addiction for many years. Working within addiction offered a wide and varied opportunity to work and become familiar with many client issues. Clients relying upon substances, use as a coping mechanism, however substance use causes further mental health issues which further complicates their ability to cope. I now work solely within private practice based at home where clients can relax in a confidential informal setting. This allows them time explore their own needs in a time frame which meets their own specific needs.
I offer an initial assessment which explores clients issues and helps clients become comfortable and familiar with my way of working it also allows time for questions to be asked, Individuals become part of their own care plan. I also explain the boundaries of counselling and confidentiality. I also offer Hypnotherapy, Mediation. and Clinical Supervision.
I work from client centred approach which is about being compassionate and real at all times which gives clients time and space to decide what is the best for them. I believe clients move forward when offered the right environment, conditions and the best therapeutic relationship. Everyone has the capacity to change given the right positive conditions.
