I have almost five years' NHS experience working with addictions, depression, bereavement, anxiety, long-term health problems, perinatal conditions and psychosexual issues. I have developed a particular interest in the latter; working with individuals and couples around issues such as intimacy, desire, sexual trauma and relationship repair. I also have extensive experience supporting clients with PTSD and complex trauma linked to sexual assault, domestic abuse and early relational adversity. My approach is integrative and relational, drawing on a range of psychological models to meet the needs of each client.
My therapeutic foundation is psychodynamic and attachment-informed, exploring how early relationships and unconscious processes influence current experiences. I also tend to draw on Schema Therapy, CBT and ACT. I have a particular passion for CFT, having found it to be particularly transformative in supporting trauma recovery and self-esteem.
Everyone is unique, therefore I prefer to work collaboratively with clients to create an approach to therapy that suits their own. I pride myself on offering an open, non-judgemental space – somewhere you can be free to explore your thoughts and emotions in complete confidentiality.
