I work with children, young people and adults experiencing psychological, emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties. Working together with you, the aim is to reach a shared understanding of the problems, how and why they developed, what might be maintaining them and finding a new way forward for you.
My approach integrates behavioural, cognitive behavioural, and systemic/family therapy. I have a lifelong interest in philosophy and its practical applications in alleviating distress and enabling a fulfilling and authentic life. The two main areas to this end are Existential Psychotherapy and Mindfulness/awareness.
The relationship between client and therapist is crucial and accounts for the majority of benefit. You need to know if it feels right; therefore I offer a free 15 minute telephone conversation if you require so that we can see if working together seems right to us both.
