Hi, my name is Liz, and I am a counsellor based in Buxton. I see clients face-to-face in Buxton and also offer online sessions for those who prefer the flexibility of therapy at home.
I support people in understanding anxiety, not by fighting against it, but by learning what it’s trying to protect. Helping to gain a deeper understanding of your triggers, so they feel less overwhelming, and how to respond in ways that feel calmer, steadier, and more in control.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that when people feel safe, understood and supported, it becomes easier to explore difficult experiences and begin creating meaningful change. Together we may explore patterns that are holding you back, develop healthier ways of coping with anxiety or stress, and build greater self-compassion and resilience.
My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you, to gently explore your experiences, develop new perspectives, and support you in moving towards a life that feels more manageable and authentic. Many clients begin simply wanting relief from anxiety or stress, and gradually discover deeper self-understanding and personal growth along the way.
