As a Clinical Psychologist I am passionate about working with people to address their emotional and mental health difficulties and to achieve their treatment goals. I have a particular interest in working with addictions, trauma, and anxiety disorders and as such these are my main areas of expertise. In addition to working privately, I also worked in an NHS Addictions Service until recently, predominantly with alcohol and illicit drugs, and as a result much of my work was with people with complex mental health needs.
I draw from evidence based approaches and tailor therapy to the needs of the individual. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in my work.
Life can be hard. We all hope that life’s valleys are shallow and its hills are high but it doesn’t always work out this way. Sometimes we can navigate life’s highs and lows by ourselves but sometimes we need some help and support to enable us to navigate this journey more effectively.
