About
Clients come to me for many reasons, but it’s usually when they have tried hard on their own to cope with past or present situations and things are not working for them. Maybe they’ve had a horrible event happen to them in the past and now this event is making them feel like they are living through it again. Maybe it’s about loss and grieving and when does it stop hurting? Maybe it’s about feelings of anxiety and how this stops them from doing what they want to do. The idea of counselling is that we build a relationship together to work through these issues in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Working as an Integrative Counsellor has involved specialist training, drawing together theories and concepts from the three main schools of thought, Humanistic, Analytic and Cognitive Behavioural to help create an understanding of the formation of self which is everyone’s starting point — who am I and how did I become who I am?
I can genuinely, hand on heart, say that I know how hard it is to take that first step to seek help, so I would like to personally invite you to take that step and give me a call. There is no charge for this introductory call and it will give you an opportunity to see if I might be the right counsellor for you.
