At some point in our lives most of us have had times where we find life is difficult and are not sure where to turn or which direction to take to solve these issues. I believe choosing the right counsellor for you is extremely important - it stands to reason that if you feel a connection with someone you will work more productively towards your end goal. I work with clients with many areas of difficulty - anxiety, depression, relationship/emotional problems, addictions, past influences or life crisis situations such as bereavement, divorce. Counselling should be non judgemental, accepting and supportive.
I have had 21 years experience of counselling; I have worked within the NHS working with depression and anxiety, for Cruse as a bereavement counsellor and with drug and alcohol addictions.
Experience has taught me that making the first point of contact is the most difficult step for clients - making that phone call/email and then meeting for the first time can feel daunting. I offer counselling from a private and comfortable room and my aim is to ensure you feel safe, comfortable and at ease.
