Hello, I'm Libby and I am a person-centred psychotherapist based in the Peak District near Bakewell.
My particular passion is working with people coping, adapting and living with chronic illness; having my own long-term illnesses has made me aware of the limitations of support available.
I work with bereavement, carers and people with terminal illnesses, with my experience coming from volunteer work at Ashgate Hospice, where I helped individuals with their unique experiences around death and loss.
I also work with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse, helping them to process their experiences and rebuild their lives.
I am a person-centred therapist, which means I centre my practice around supporting clients to work through problems, process past events and improve well-being and self-esteem, while taking into account their unique personal circumstances and therapy goals. My aim is to support you to help you realise your own potential to heal and grow.
I am here to help you work through what ever has bought you to seek therapy by building a collaborative and supportive relationship. I believe that it is the strength and compatibility of this relationship that unlocks the healing process, ultimately helping you to move forward positively into your future self.
