Hi I'm Lianne, a qualified BACP registered counsellor offering short & long term counselling in person & online for anyone aged 16+. I welcome clients from all walks of life who may not feel comfortable/accepted in life & perhaps in conventional therapy services. I believe that counselling is about connection, difficult feelings, humour & everything in-between. I am dedicated, empathic & authentic in the therapy room & although the therapy process differs for everyone, my focus is to help you feel comfortable, heard, seen & safe within your therapeutic journey.
I am a person centered and trauma informed counsellor & I work & have worked with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, stress, ND clients & clients who have experienced trauma, suicide ideation, self harm, LGBTQIA+ issues & low self-esteem. Each session is led by you & all parts of you are welcome in the therapy room.
I'm a lover of all things nature based & alt, myself having a few piercings, tattoos & dreadlocks. You may wonder why I mention this? The reasons because when I was training I didn't see anyone like me, this made the feeling of 'other' feel all too real & isolating so I wanted to create a space where clients can relate emotionally & within their style.
