Our past impacts on our present and it can often be confusing and conflicting in our adult responses to current problems. When we cannot make sense of our own thoughts or responses, when our behaviour troubles us or is repetitive. Within the therapeutic process, control is taken back and the symptomatic behaviour in time can be renegotiated and become less powerful. My training is Psychodynamic but with many years of CPD (continuing professional development) I will adapt my style to what will be most helpful to you and what you bring to the sessions. Psychodynamic therapy involves working with the unconscious.
I offer in person and online sessions and work with adults, young people, families & couples. I run parenting teenagers courses and workshops for parents negotiating the teenage years. I also work with individuals & couples negotiating the emotional upheaval during the ante-natal and post-natal period. Initially I offer a free 20 minute phone conversation.
I understand how difficult it can be choosing a therapist. We all face our lives in our own unique way though there are themes that we all share at times: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, loss and bereavement. Within the therapeutic process, I will help symptomatic behaviour to be renegotiated and control taken back.
