Hi, I'm Lesley. I offer a professional, non-judgemental, and confidential service to meet your individual needs. I offer a free, absolutely no obligation, 30minute, initial consultation because research has shown that one of the most important parts of counselling is the relationship between you and your counsellor, so in the initial consultation you can see if I am the right counsellor for you. I work with a very diverse range of issues, including neurodiversity, and if something is causing you to worry or feel low, whatever it might be, we can see if counselling can help you. We work at your speed, short, medium or long term
Life changing events or ongoing difficulties can be hard to resolve on your own and you may not want to talk with family and friends, or that just may not be enough. I have previously volunteered for The Samaritans and have benefitted greatly from extensive training and my previous work experiences, eg nursing, have been invaluable when offering support now.
You are at the centre of your counselling. If you choose to, we can explore how events, a problem or a fear may be affecting you now. We can look at coping strategies and explore future goals. Sometimes we just feel we need to understand ourselves, and others, a little more.
