My counselling service is consciously focused toward men, providing a space to feel safe and supported to work through issues. It's often a misconception that 'men don't talk about feelings', rather that men don't know that counselling can be for them too. Some of the reasons to come to counselling include; Sex or Relationship Issues, Questioning or coming to terms with Sexuality, Work Issues, Bullying, both emotional or physical, Anxiety, Depression, dealing with loss and bereavement. I am a fully qualified Person Centred Therapist and registered member of the BACP.

Now providing online and telephone therapy sessions during the Coronavirus outbreak. I am a Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience in the NHS and private practice of helping people with a wide range of emotional difficulties and life challenges. I am trained in a number of therapeutic approached including Psychodynamic, CBT, EMDR and CfD which enables me to approach your difficulties with flexibility. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties or other emotional difficulties, I am able to help you gain greater understanding and self confidence in making changes.

Great, you have already taken the first steps for you. I am not the expert on you, you are. I am here to support and explore with you what you maybe finding difficult or just not feeling Ok. This may be in your relationships, in your physical body or you are finding both these things are overwhelming sometimes. Together we can wonder, ponder and educate ourselves and understand, why? Then we can make a strategy and build on your already available resilience (you are here remember), and improve this together. This maybe just a few sessions, sometimes just one or a little longer if you need this.

Given the latest government advice all sessions will be offered online. I have ten years of experience of working in this way and I am happy to give you guidance to set this up. You will need an internet connection (preferably high speed), a headset and microphone. I can also offer telephone sessions but face to face via an online platform is preferable. Psychotherapy is about being listened to and seen in a particular way. There is nowhere else in life that offers a time and space to focus on your 'self' - your body and your mind. My Kent practice is in the village of Bridge near Canterbury and is easy to reach.

I'm trained to work with a broad range of psychological health challenges including; Anxiety, Panic attacks, Depression, Insomnia, Agoraphobia, overwhelming feelings, Phobias, OCD, Autism, low self-worth and confidence, to name but a few. My approach is both adaptive and solution orientated and works best for people who want to change how they are feeling, thinking and behaving using a range of CBT models and EMDR.
