I am a HCPC registered counselling psychologist with over 20 years experience in mental health. I trained in a number of different modalities, which means that I tailor therapy to suit your needs and wants. The most important aspect for me is the relationship between us, so that you feel safe to share your issues and work together. I offer respect, warmth and empathy to help you build a trusting relationship with me so that you can talk through whatever is on holding you back. You are the expert in your experience, so I will work with you to decide on a course of action to help you make positive changes, going at your own pace.
Depending on your situation and preferences we may work in the here and now, or look at some of the historical reasons for your current issues. I generally work on a weekly or fortnightly basis, though also offer EMDR intensive work. I work from dedicated rooms in Knowle (BS4), central Bristol (BS1) and Clifton (BS8).
I offer an introductory 10-15 minute call for you to find out more about me. It is important that you find someone that is the right fit for you, and there is no obligation to continue should you feel I am not the right psychologist for you.
