When relationships (business, family or personal) are troubled, we can feel anxious or depressed. Whether its lack of, ending of, difficulties with or changes in relationships, at work or home, our need for human closeness both brings pleasure and causes problems. Maybe change is driven by others, maybe you need something to change but don't know the best way to go about it. Perhaps you’re finding that you’re stuck in a destructive communication pattern and feel like you’re going round in circles. Maybe you don’t really know what you want, but would like to find out. I can help.
I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples and families. I focus on how we relate to others and manage our connectedness to them. Relate trained, I can help you to figure out whether you should mend bridges, re-organise your life or move on. I'm qualified to master's level and understand control and trauma.
I’m based in a calm, relaxed setting just outside Durham – a confidential space to explore what is troubling, and to think about new ways of dealing with it. You can see me either online or in person. You may feel a few sessions will help, or be looking for something longer term. We can talk about that and arrange what is best for you. Just call or email.
