Coming to counselling can sometimes feel scary, and I try my very best not to be scary! I am a person centred counsellor whose main focus is the relationship we build together. I can offer you a judgement free space with warmth and genuineness, with no expectation for you to be anything other than yourself. I will never challenge you aggressively or make you feel small or stupid. We will work together to find what feels right for you, not what you feel you "should" be doing.
I work with adults and young people through conversation, creativity and visual analogies that can help make sense of what you're experiencing.
I can offer support with anxiety, low self-esteem and confidence, domestic abuse and coercive control, neurodivergence (late diagnosed and self diagnosed are valid here!), bereavement and many other experiences that do not fit in this box! (much like us as humans do not necessarily fit in a box..!)
Sometimes we can be experiencing something that doesn't have a name; you may not resonate with terms such as anxiety or depression, you just know that something in your life feels "off". We will work together to figure out what is happening, where it's coming from and find a way to move forward in a way and at the pace that feels right for you,
