I offer therapy to adults (18+) who may be experiencing difficulties with mood, anxiety, relationships, or adjusting to life changes such as health problems, loss, or transitions. I also have experience working with neurodivergent adults and people facing complex or overlapping difficulties. My approach is collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental. I draw on a range of evidence-based models - including CBT, ACT, relational and attachment-based approaches, and DBT-informed approaches to tailor therapy to each person’s needs.

I know that trying to find a therapist can feel like a daunting experience, especially for parents, you have limited time, limited capacity to juggle one more thing, but you feel like you need support. Me and my team offer therapy for those who have experienced trauma or distress during any part of the perinatal period: trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth or in parenthood. We have a passion for supporting those who have been through neonatal care or hospitalisation with their babies. Maybe you are experiencing high levels of anxiety since becoming a parent, issues with your identity or struggling to process what happened to you...

Do you ever find yourself falling into the same unhelpful patterns - relationships, working too much, health - but don't seem to be able to stop this? Do you ever feel distress, anxiety, depression or sadness that can feel uncontrollable? Have you suffered a recent trauma and need help for PTSD? As a psychologist with ten years experience offering therapy, often to individuals with complex needs, I am passionate about helping you to break your cycles and understand why they occur. This can include offering a safe space to explore any history of difficult experiences which you still feel effect you.

Life can be challenging. It can be difficult opening up to someone about the worst that's happened to us, about the parts of ourselves we struggle with. For some dealing with trauma can impact how we treat others, having negative impacts on relationships & life. I’ve worked for over 25 years with those who’ve experienced complex trauma: who’ve lived/worked in conflict zones; been abused by family; struggle to emotionally regulate; have been abusive & with relationship breakdown. As a couple it’s important to feel the therapist you choose is able to work with you around your relationship.

Helping Young People realise their full potential within an ever changing world. I have over 15 years experience in counselling young people in private practice, schools and colleges. I have successfully worked on anxiety prevention and lifting low mood. I have experience working with suicide ideation, family dynamics, dyspraxia, autism, self harming behaviours, sexuality and gender, exam pressure, bullying, OCD and many more. I consider that, at times, young people need additional emotional support outside of their family and friends network in order that they can achieve their full potential.

Online only. Intimate relationships can sometimes be difficult and even painful, whether we are currently in one, have recently left one, or are alone and longing to be part of a couple. I specialise in helping people with sexual and relationship issues as they affect both individuals and couples. If you are in a couple, I will provide you with a supportive, neutral environment in which it becomes possible to think and communicate in ways you may find it difficult to do on your own. When it comes to sexual issues, I will make you feel comfortable talking about them, and provide you with information, advice, and homework as needed.

Often children show through their behaviour that they are in need of extra support. Play and creative arts are a child’s natural way of expressing themselves and the child can make sense of what is going on in their lives through this. I support children who are dealing with a range of difficulties for example bereavement, anxiety, anger, bullying or parental separation- for example domestic abuse or divorce. At Apex House in Lutterworth, I create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and are able to express how they are feeling, this may be consciously or unconsciously.

Hi there, I’m Emily. I’m a qualified integrative counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). Counselling means different things to different people. For some, it helps them make sense of current challenges, which could be in their relationships, at work, or due to unexpected events that have knocked them off their feet For others, it’s a safe place to explore past events, vulnerabilities, or traumas that shape the way they live, and which create patterns of behaviour that they want to move on from.
