I often describe counselling using the metaphor of a ball of string. Life’s challenges can create ‘knots’ within us — from bereavement, anxiety, depression, anger, or relationship difficulties, to simply feeling that something isn’t right. Sometimes we can loosen these knots ourselves, but at other times they feel too tight or overwhelming to untangle alone. I aim to offer a calm, confidential space where we can gently explore these knots together and begin to make sense of what feels tangled.

Life can be chaotic, and messy; but we don't have to navigate its challenges alone. I believe in meeting people where they are, as they are - whatever that may look like. Exploring and embracing the unique way we all work, and the challenge of finding what we need to thrive, is at the heart of my approach. I work with a range of human beings experiencing a wide array of concerns. I work with ADHD and Autism, anxiety, self esteem, identity, relationship and communication issues - but this is by no means an exhaustive list. My interest in neurodiversity is in part driven by the discovery in adulthood that I am neurodivergent myself.

Life has a way of piling onto us and sometimes its hard to recognize the effects of our experiences over time. This can lead to developing unhelpful coping skills in the moment, that are not conducive to a healthy and happy life. We need to adapt and find other ways of coping once the storm has passed, which can be difficult to do on your own. As a qualified psychologist, I have experience in working with inpatient and community settings over the last 6 years. I specialize in working with Personality Disorder (BPD, ASPD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD and CPTSD), and neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, LD, Autism).
