Hello, I'm Lauren! I often work with children and families through creative expression. I have experience working with individuals with communication difficulties, additional needs, autism and learning disabilities. Adults can benefit through being playful in art therapy, which allows you to learn more about yourself through metaphor and symbolism. My approach is psychodynamic which assumes our present behaviour is based upon our previous experiences. I aim to support my clients to understand themselves better and discover the reasoning behind certain behaviours.
My art therapy studio is a relaxing, cosy and creative space where you can explore a wide range of art materials and sensory toys to help with emotional regulation. I encourage everyone to be creative and to try out something new. But don't worry! You do not need to be good at art, just willing to explore the materials provided.
