As an experienced counsellor, I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside my clients on their therapeutic journey where every client is unique and there is a new opportunity for learning and growth. But another part of me feels that…” you have already embraced the idea of Internal Family Systems Therapy, which as an integrative psychotherapist I use amongst other therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Person Centred Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy, to support you.
I recognise people are made up of parts which serve to protect us from painful experiences. These might be anxiety, self-harm, depression & anger amongst many which are difficult to experience & maybe covering more painful emotions associated with traumatic experiences. I seek to work with you to understand these parts, support change & process any trauma.
My role is to provide the empathic, nurturing, & safe space for you to explore & access safely the parts of you that prevent you from living compassionately, creating stress, tension, pain or perhaps a deep sense of unhappiness or loneliness. All of your thoughts and emotions are welcome to be heard and supported in therapy.
