A warm welcome to my profile, and well done on making the first step which is often the most difficult. I am a kind, professional fully qualified and BACP registered counsellor and have been supporting clients in a therapeutic setting with substance abuse for 7 years and during this time I have come to realise that the addiction is not the problem it’s the pain that keeps them in it, with this in mind I have supported clients with: Shame, Self-harm, Abuse (emotional, sexual, physical, financial) , Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Childhood issues and Bereavement.
The thought of therapy can be scary, so I offer a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space for my clients to be able to share their troubles, explore difficult and painful experiences, big feelings, and work towards a deeper understanding of themselves and support with difficult relationships without fear of being judged.
Life can be tough sometimes; we are humans after all and have overwhelming feelings that we struggle to process and sometimes use coping strategies that can be harmful to us. I use a range of skills depending upon the client need. As an Integrative counsellor I don’t believe that “one size fits all".
